Purpose
To serve the parish community in the specific areas of parish profile,
financial education, fund-raising, budget preparation, general financial and
disbursement supervision, Church maintenance and replacement. The commission
manages various groups and coordinates activities that support these specific
areas. The commission is responsible to inform the council of their goals
and activities.
Objectives
- Parish Profile – to maintain an accurate profile
of the parish, especially in the areas of population, economy,
changing neighborhoods, and industrial growth or decline.
- Financial education –to educate the parish about
financial priorities and needs
- Fund-raising –to stimulate greater financial
responsibility by the members of the parish
- Budget preparation -to prepare annually the final
budget for the coming year
- Disbursement supervision –to oversee the
disbursement of funds according to the current budget
- General financial supervision -to oversee the
construction and repairs, parish insurance coverage, the
preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports and the
Catholic Stewardship Appeal
- Plant maintenance and replacement –to provide
necessary information for the maintenance and replacement of
the physical plant
