Parish & Family Life
Purpose
The purpose of the Parish and Community Life Commission is to serve the parish
community in the specific areas of community spirit, communication, spiritualism
and evangelization. The commission manages various groups and coordinates activities
that support these specific areas. The commission is responsible to inform
the council of their goals and activities.
Objectives
- Community Spirit – to assist in making the parish a community
in which persons can come to know one another, to share their lives and
concerns and to find support for their faith.
- Communication – to ensure good communications among all groups
in the parish and to provide effective publicity for parish events!
- Spiritualism – to initiate and support the growth of mutual
understanding and common action amoung the different Christian Churches.
- Evangelization – to maintain active programs of reaching out to
non-practicing Catholics and the unchurched.

- Church gardens care
- Supper Events – (Harvest Supper, Mardi Gras Supper)
- Reception Events – (Lenten retreat, 1st Communion / confirmation celebration)
- Coordination/Welcoming program for new and existing parishioners
- Gorham Ecumenical Commission
- Bereavement Group
- Epiphany Celebration
- Young Adults
- Senior Luncheon
