Purpose

The purpose of the Faith Formation Commission is to serve the parish community in the specific areas of teaching the faith, teaching the bible and preparation for the sacraments. The commission manages various groups and coordinates activities that support these specific areas. The commission is responsible to inform the council of their goals and activities.

Objectives

  • Living the faith – to develop for every age group in the parish a faith formation program of high quality, that transmits the teachings and customs of the Church.
  • Teaching the Bible – to provide tools which enable others to study the bible.
  • Preparation for the Sacraments – to have good programs of catechesis for individuals and their families who are about to celebrate the sacraments.

Sacraments

Sacrament of Reconciliation

3:00pm Saturday and any other time by appointment with the pastor.

Sacrament of Baptism

Contact Father Conley. Baptism preparation course is given on the third Monday or every month at 7:00pm for parents and prospective parents who plan to have their babies baptized.

Sacrament of Marriage

Contact Father Conley six months before wedding date.
